We have done away with the "Triple Wrap Knot" design by vastly improving upon it.  Under certain circumstances we found out the old "triple wrap knot" would stretch out and fail.  We also replaced this design due to the following reasons:

• We want to offer you a modern sling in both traditional leather and a modern synthetic Biothane.  This is not possible with the old knot design.  It will not function with modern synthetics like Biothane.
• Some users could make the knot fail simply by using the wrong leather oil on the sling.  Once this happened, the knot would begin to slip for the remainder of the sling's life.
• Overloading the knot by aggressively pulling on it can force the sling to slip.  This stretches out the leather knot and forces it to skid.  Once it skids, it will continue to slip forever.

We understand the old design is being reproduced by another manufacturer.  We will continue to warranty any slings manufactured by us.  While we cannot warranty any quality issues or product failures on slings not manufactured by us, we will support our customers.
