What swivels do you use on the Outfitter Slings, and why?  E-mail

We are proud to announce that we have recently switched to the new BlackHawk! locking sling swivels on our 1 1/4" slings, and are in the process of changing over to these on our 1" slings.  These are a similar design to some other popular locking swivels, but with two important differences:

1) The locking knob is metal, not plastic like others.  We almost always broke the plastic barrels in the cold, which usually meant we had to remove the swivel with a pair of needlenose pliers.  The new metal barrels are never going to have that problem.

2) They are made here in the USA, not made in China like others.  That is very important to us as we try to keep all production in the USA whenever possible, and avoid imports.  We hope you appreciate that, because it costs more.  Simply put, we want to keep people in the USA employed.

We will still offer the Titan swivels on our 1" slings until we run out of stock, as they are also a great made in USA product.  The Titan swivels are a pull pin design that lock in place via a strong detent.
