What is the rail for in the front of the mat?  E-mail

This is a bipod rail.  Pressing forward on the bipod of your rifle is a great way to stabilize the front of the rifle for follow up shots.  This does demand a strong stock, with a free floated barrel. 

The rewards are worth it.  You will gain much more control over your shooting and many times be able to see your bullet impacts at long range.

You don't have to use the rail, it is just there when you want it.  This is a totally unique feature to our shooting mats.
