It can be done, but it would take quite a while. Imagine how long it takes to fully charge your phone from your wall charger, now imagine turning the handle on the SideWinder for that long!

Phone batteries also respond much better when you charge before they go completely dead. It takes a long while to bring back a totally dead battery vs. putting more energy into one that is at the "low battery" beep.

We recommend that you charge when your phone goes into "low battery" mode vs. completely dead. You can still charge a dead phone - it just takes a bit longer.
